PRS제작년도별/ Serial Numbers

뮤직파크에서는 1996-2005년 사이에 생산된 빈티지급 품질의 PRS제품을 확보하여 공급하고 있습니다.

2005년 이전제품은 PRS사가 대량생산의 규모확장이전에 소량생산으로 오리지날 PRS품질을 절대적으로 유지하던 시기에 생산된 제품입니다.
2005년이전 제품은 최고품질로 선별된 조건의 목재와 부품으로 생산투입전 충분한 양생과정을 거쳐 생산된 제품이기 때문에 오랜 년도가 지나더래도 넥이나 바디의 변질이 발생되지않으며, 오히려 적절한 연주와 사용에 따라 음질이 좋아지는 빈티지화에 따라 질감이 더 좋아지는 현상이 나타나게됩니다.

그리고 2005년 이전의 제품은 당시 PRS사의 생산방식인 소량/ 수작업방식으로 폴 리드 스미스(창업자)씨 자신과 숙련된 기타장인들에 의하여 1년이상의 오랜 시간의 가공공정과 철저한 품질관리를 거쳐 생산된 제품들입니다.
이러한 현상은 소량 생산시기에 공급된 팬더 스트라트--1965년이전의 제품과 레스폴--1960년 이전의 제품등에서 확인할수있습니다.

1965년이전 스트라트와 1960년이전 레스폴은 엄청난 고가격으로도 현재 구할수가 없는 제품이 되고있습니다. 왜냐면 이제는 그러한 빈티지화된 품질의 제품을 재생할수가 없기 때문입니다.

2005년이전에 생산된 PRS제품은 향후 그 시리얼번호로서 빈티지급 기타로서 가치를 인정받을수있는 제품이며 시간이 경과함에 따라 더욱구하기가 힘들 제품이 될수있기 때문에 이미 몇 모델들을 기점으로하여 1990-2000초년산의 중고 가격이 고가로 형성되가고있으며 기타수집가들의 표적이 되가고있습니다.

Serial Number Prefix Digit -Year Codes(제작년도)

The first digit is the last number of the production year, followed by the sequential number of guitars produced to that date. For example - 6 2557 would be a guitar manufactured in 1986 and was the 2,557th set-in neck guitar made while 6 29584 would be a guitar manufactured in 1996 and was the 29,584th set-in neck guitar made.

Set-Neck (셋넥모델)Sequential Serial Numbers

The year of manufacture of any set-in neck PRS Guitar can be determined by the serial number located on the back of the headstock. The series of numbers that follow the year prefix is the sequential number of guitars produced to that date.

CE Models: Sequential Serial Numbers

The year of manufacture is determined the same way for the CE bolt-on neck models however the serial number is located on the neck plate on the back of the guitar. The following number determines the model: 7 or CE for the Classic Electric models, then the sequential number for that particular model.

EG Models: Sequential Serial Numbers

The year of manufacture is determined the same way for the EG models. Like the CE models the serial number is located on the neck plate on the back of the guitar. The following number determines the model: 5 or EG for the EG models, then the sequential number for that particular model.

Swamp Ash Special Models: Sequential Serial Numbers

The year of manufacture is determined the same way for the Swamp Ash Special. Like the CE and EG models the serial number is located on the neck plate on the back of the guitar. The following number determines the model: 8 or SA for the Swamp Ash Special, then the sequential number for that particular model * the first 200 Swamp Ash Specials were given a CE serial number.

Bolt-On Bass: Sequential Serial Numbers

The PRS Bass models produced between 1986 and 1991 will be numbered with the year as the first number, followed by the prefix 4 indicating a bolt-on neck model bass, then the sequential number for that particular model. The serial number will be located on the neck plate on the back of the bass.

Set-Neck Bass: Sequential Serial Numbers

The PRS Bass models produced between 1986 and 1991 will be numbered with the year as the first number, followed by the prefix 9 indicating a set-neck model bass, then the sequential number for that particular model. The serial number will be located on the back of the headstock.

Electric Bass: Sequential Serial Numbers

The PRS Electric Bass models introduced in 2000 will also be numbered with the year as the first number, followed by the prefix EB indicating Electric Bass, then the sequential number for that particular model. The serial number will be located on the back of the headstock.
